About Us

Self-guided walks
My name is Bryan Cath and I run Combe Walks. I have been guiding walkers around North Devon, Exmoor and Tarka Country since 1987, specifically with self-guided walks routes. These are ideal for single and small numbers of walkers who like to be able to walk at their own pace, stopping when they want to enjoy the view and refreshments. Please wear sensible shoes or walking boots, take waterproofs and a picnic and enjoy our walks.

Self Guided Cycle Rides
We have also been giving cyclists enjoyable rides with our practical solution to following a route while cycling. Most of us can judge a distance well enough to see the distance it is to the next junction and the graphic shows the layout as it appears as you approach it, saving stopping to read. This means no unnecessary stopping, keeping your momentum going.

Walking Festival
We have been the driving force behind the walking festival since it started in 2000. The festival has grown into one of the main walking festivals in the UK.

Bryan is qualified with the South West Mountain and Moorland Leader Training Scheme as a Summer Moorland Walking Leader. He also has a current Outdoors First Aid Certificate.
